Fulham are being linked with a move for Sao Paulo defender Luizao. The youngster has caught the eye playing in Brazil over the past six months.

According to journalist Jorge Nicola (via Sport Witness) he has emerged on the radar of Marco Silva’s side. The London club have an opportunity to bring in some players when the January transfer window opens.

Luizao, 20, has also been reported as a potential target for fellow Premier League side West Ham as well. Lance have recently reported that the Hammers have made ‘contact’ about possibly luring him to the London Stadium.

New name linked with Fulham

Fulham could see Luizao as a decent long-term option for them in the heart of defence. With Tim Ream aged 35 now, this is something that they need to start thinking about.

The 6ft 2nc centre-back has risen up through the academy at Sao Paulo and was a regular for them at various youth levels before breaking into their first-team earlier this year. He made his senior debut at the 2022 Copa Sudamericana in May against Everton de Viña del Mar.

He has since made 16 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A outfit and has chipped in with a single goal. Luizao is being tipped for a bright future in the game and is a name to keep an eye out for over the next couple of months.
