Fulham boss Marco Silva believes Andreas Pereira’s goal against West Ham last time out was an ‘important’ moment for him. The summer recruit was heavily involved in the game at the London Stadium and was later adjudged to have fouled Craig Dawson in the box to give the Hammers a penalty.
The Cottagers ended up losing 3-1 after the Brazil international gave them an early lead. He chipped in with his first goal for the club since signing in July and he will now be looking to add more to his tally.

Hide AdPereira, 26, penned a four-year deal at Craven Cottage after he was given the green light to leave Manchester United for a fresh challenge. He spent time out on loan from Old Trafford at Flamengo last term.
‘Important’...
Silva has delivered his verdict on his performance on Sunday, as per West London Sport:
“It is important for a player like him that he has the capacity to score that type of goal. It’s his first and it won’t be the last. He has the capacity to not just assist (goals) from set pieces and open play but to score (too).
“It was an important moment for him (to score) and unfortunately for us he was involved in that penalty (that went against us). That made him a little bit down. I know Andreas and I’m here to work with him. It is a moment for him to learn and to be more mature in some moments to deal with his decisions.”

They currently sit 9th in the table and are back in action this weekend at home to Bournemouth as they look to get back to winning ways.
