Pundit Jamie Carragher has hailed the impact Fulham have had on the Premier League so far this season.

Marco Silva’s side have adapted well to the step up a division after winning the Championship title last term.

The Cottagers are currently sat in 6th place after the first seven games and are two points off the top four.

‘Refreshing’...

Ex-Liverpool favourite Carragher has praised the London club for their work so far, as per Sky Sports:

“I think the biggest surprise, although I do think he’s a really good manager, is Marco Silva and Fulham. You know, people always looking at the promoted teams and go ‘will they get off to a good start or find it difficult?’

“And Bournemouth as well, obviously a new manager (Gary O’Neil) has come in. They have done really well as well but I think the impact Fulham have had on the Premier League has been refreshing.

“We don’t want to see the same teams come up and the same go down so it is always nice when the promoted sides start well.”

Fulham are back in action after the international break at home to Newcastle United and will be eager to carry on their momentum.

It is never easy coming up from the second tier, as they have found out the past couple of times they have played at this level, but something feels different this time around.

Silva’s team are causing problems for their opponents and their recruitment over the summer was shrewd with new signings like Joao Palhinhina and Andreas Pereira slotting in nicely into the side.
