Fulham signed the ex-Serbia international in January 2019 whilst they were struggling in the Premier League but he wasn’t able to make much of an impact at Craven Cottage. He made just one league appearances for the London club before heading out the exit door following their relegation to the Champinship.

Prior to his switch to the Whites, Markovic spent five years with Liverpool and played 34 times for the Reds. He also had loan spells away from Anfield at Fenerbahce, Sporting Lisbon, Anderlecht and Hull City.

The attacker was a hit on loan with the latter under current Fulham boss Marco Silva. The Tigers landed him on loan in January 2017 and he scored twice in 14 games during his time in East Yorkshire.

Markovic is now on his way to Trabzonspor and will become teammates with the likes of Jean-Philippe Gbamin, Trézéguet, Marc Batra and Marek Hamšík. They won the league last year but are currently 6th.
