Fulham are expected to cut ties permanently with Kevin Mbabu this summer. The right-back has left on loan for Servette on a deal until the end of the season.

However, it appears he may have already played his last game for the Cottagers despite only joining last summer. As per reporter Fabrizio Romano on Twitter (see below), he is poised to ‘leave again’ when his time in the Swiss Super League expires.

Fulham swooped to sign the Switzerland international from Bundesliga side Wolfsburg following their promotion from the Championship after he caught their eye playing in Germany. However, he has struggled to break into Marco Silva’s side this term in the Premier League.

He played just six appearances and was given the green light to head out the exit door this winter. A departure before the January transfer deadline didn’t materialise but the Swiss window shuts later which paved the way for him to return to Servette, which is where he started his career, to get some game time.

Fulham brought in Cedric Soares on loan from Arsenal last month and he competes with Kenny Tete for the right-back spot now. Mbabu’s contract runs out in June 2025 but he is likely to depart way before then.
