Crystal Palace have made a mixed start to the season so far.

The Eagles have picked up five points from their first five games, losing to Arsenal and Manchester City.

On Tuesday night, Palace should have picked up their second win of the Premier League season after Wilfried Zaha put them in front at home to Brentford.

But Patrick Vieira’s men switched off late on and conceded an equaliser - they were lucky not to concede a late winner, too.

Palace need to improve defensively, yet to keep a clean sheet in the Premier League, and it will be interesting to see if they dip into the market to improve that area ahead of the deadline.

With that in mind, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding Selhurst Park.

Vieira issues update

Patrick Vieira has responded to Palace being linked with Chelsea star Conor Gallagher and Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

As you would expect, Vieira did not respond to the specific cases, but he did issue a transfer update.

“We will need to do some, yes,” Vieira said. “We need more players, more competition, more options, we need different profile of players and we will try to do it.

“I know that we are doing our best. If we find a player that we want, we will see if we can make it happen.”

Zaha responds

Zaha has played down talk of a move by dismissing the suggestion that the transfer rumours could be distracting.

“It’s not been difficult at all [to remain focused],” Zaha told Sky Sports. “I’ve just been focused on Palace and every game. So it’s not been difficult at all.

“I go into training, I get on with it and I enjoy it. So I’ve been focused. It’s massive, we’ve got a massive understanding everyone literally understands me. It’s different, it’s hard to explain but it feels like a family here. That’s the understanding we have.”
