Wilfried Zaha has all but indicated he will be at Crystal Palace this season after describing the atmosphere at the club as ‘family’.

The Crystal Palace academy product scored a brilliant goal to give his team a 1-0 lead after collecting a pass from midfielder Cheick Doucoure and planting it in the far right corner from the edge of the penalty box.

But Brentford substitute Yoane Wissa headed home Vitaly Janelt’s inswinging cross in the 88th minute to stun Selhurst Park and snatch a draw.

Zaha’s goal was his fourth of the campaign already, and he’s missed the last two games due a knock he picked up against Aston Villa.

The 29-year-old has now scored 13 Premier League goals in 2022 and looks to be enjoying his game at the moment.

Chelsea and Tottenham have both been strongly linked with the forward with reports that he would be interested in playing in the Champions League. His current deal at Palace comes to an end this season.

Asked if he had been distracted with the constant reports linking him with a move away from the club, Zaha said it’s ‘easy’ to remain focused and enjoy his game because Crystal Palace feels like a ‘family’

The Crystal Palace forward told BT Sport: “It’s not been difficult at all to keep my focus here, I just go out and enjoy my football. I have been focused on the Palace and I go out there and enjoy it.

“It feels like family here at Palace.”

Zaha was however disappointed with the fact he and his teammates could not hold on to their lead against the Bees.

The Eagles have now faced Thomas Frank’s side on three occasions and have failed to get a win.

He admits conceding late goals is ‘killing’ them and they must find a remedy to it.

He added: “We killed ourselves in the end. Brentford battled and there were spaces and obviously there were chances created.

“I feel like our problem right now is last minute goals and it throws away all the hard work.  I’m happy to score goals for the team but today it means nothing.”
