Crystal Palace have beaten Ipswich Town 4-2 this afternoon thanks to a hat-trick by Luke Plange.

The Premier League side gave a run out to some first-team players as they prepare for the new season.

Eberechi Eze, Cheick Doucoure, Nathan Ferguson, Wilfried Zaha, Marc Guéhi and Christian Benteke all got minutes under their belts.

Palace went 2-0 up in the first-half after Plange’s double before Benteke made it three on the stroke of half-time.

Plange then got his third after the break (see tweet below):

Ipswich pulled a couple of goals back through Sone Aluko and Dom Ball.

Big player for next season?

Plange signed for Crystal Palace during the January transfer window from Derby County but was allowed to spend the second-half of the past campaign with the Rams.

He has officially linked up with Patrick Viera’s side this summer and has certainly put himself into his manager’s thoughts this afternoon.

The 19-year-old rose up through the academy at Arsenal before moving to Derby in 2021. He then broke into the Rams’ first-team last term and scored four goals in 27 games.

Plange is one for the future for Palace and it will be interesting to see if he can become a regular for their senior team next term.

Crystal Palace were also in action in Singapore yesterday against Liverpool.
