Crystal Palace target Morgan Gibbs-White is in ‘no rush’ to leave current club Wolves.

The attacking midfielder is a man in-demand this summer after impressing on loan at Sheffield United in the Championship last season.

Patrick Viera’s side were reported to be the ‘frontrunners’ to land his signature earlier this month in a report by 90min.

However, the latest update from journalist Tom Collomosse suggests he is happy where he is at the moment (see tweet below):

Wolves situation

Gibbs-White still has two years left on his contract at Molinuex and is currently preparing for the new Premier League season with Bruno Lage’s side.

The England youth international has been on the books of the Midlands outfit for his whole career to date and has made 86 appearances for their first-team so far in his career, chipping in with three goals.

As well as his spell at Sheffield United, he was also loaned out to Swansea City a couple of years ago to get some experience under his belt.

You can see why Crystal Palace are reportedly keen on signing him this summer. He proved his worth at Bramall Lane last term by helping the Blades reach the play-offs and is still only 22-years-old so has the potential to grow and develop in the future.

Collomosse’s update throws a spanner in the works though and it appears Gibbs-White may well be staying put.

Other Crystal Palace news

Palace are in pre-season action today against League One side Ipswich Town.

The Eagles are giving run outs to Eberechi Eze, Cheick Doucoure, Nathan Ferguson, Wilfried Zaha, Luke Plange, Marc Guéhi and Christian Benteke.
