Former Crystal Palace and QPR boss Neil Warnock is reportedly interested in the Sheffield Wednesday job. The Owls are in the hunt for a new manager after parting company with Xisco Munoz following their tough start to the new Championship season.
According to reporter Alan Biggs, the 74-year-old would be ‘very attracted’ to the vacancy at Hillsborough. The South Yorkshire outfit are currently bottom of the table and haven’t won in their first 10 games.

Hide AdWarnock has had two separate spells at both Crystal Palace and QPR in the past. He guided the latter to promotion to the Premier League in 2011 after they won the Championship title.
The veteran has most recenlty been in charge of Huddersfield Town in the second tier and managed to keep the Terriers up against the odds last term. He then cut ties with them earlier this month and was replaced by ex-Sheffield Wednesday man Darren Moore at the John Smith’s Stadium.
He is refusing to retire just yet and said when he left recently: “My health is good, I’ve never felt better! If anything I’ve got the buzz again. I’m sure when February comes round people will be asking me again.
“I’ve always said to Kevin (Nagle) , it’s his club and that I’d go whenever he wants me to go. I think it was the right thing that I came back, I don’t think it would have helped anyone to come in in pre-season, but we’ve made a lot of progress.”

He posted on X, formerly Twitter: “Nothing like the feeling of being part of a team, everyone in it together desperate to win to bring so much joy and happiness to so many people. Brilliant Team Europe, and seeing those scenes with players/fans celebrating together, how can I ever think of retiring!”
Warnock managed Sheffield Wednesday’s bitter rivals Sheffield United from 1999 to 2007. He has also had stints with the likes of Leeds United, Cardiff City and Middlesbrough, among many others.
