Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze will not be involved this weekend after picking up a hamstring injury in their 1-0 win against Manchester United in the Premier League.

The 25-year-old was in line to play for England during this international break but the latest injury will rule him out of the game against Forest and the international break.

Eze picked up a hamstring injury in training to further populate a busy treatment room, further stretching one of the smallest squads in the Premier League.

He adds to the growing list on the injury front that includes Michael Olise, Dean Henderson, Matheus Franca, Jefferson Lerma and Naouirou Ahamada who have all been ruled out.

Roy Hodgson has done a remarkable job this season highlighted by their impressive 1-0 win over Manchester United and their midtable stand in the league.

The Eagles will hope for another win when they take on Steve Cooper’s Nottingham Forest who are three places and three points behind the Eagles.

This season, Palace have lost Wilfried Zaha to Galatasaray and Michael Olise to injury but have had a decent start to the season winning three, losing two and drawing two of their first seven games of the season.

They have had to do this with a huge injury list which makes it much more impressive given most people expected them to struggle having made little addition to the squad in the summer.
