Eberechi Eze: Crystal Palace and ex QPR star's new business venture explored and reported net worth
Crystal Palace Eberechi Eze will spend some of his free time helping the energy drink brand with marketing.
Crystal Palace forward Eberechi Eze has made headlines off the pitch this week with a business investment into Virtue Drinks alongside BrewDog co-founder James Watt.
The company, which prides itself on leading 'a clean energy drink revolution', has raised a further £2 million from investors thanks to the duo, according to The Scotsman. Eze and Watt's involvement takes the total funding behind Virtue Drinks to more than £5 million.
Eze, who is still just 26 years old, will be actively involved in helping with the drink's marketing strategy and will 'amplify the brand's presence'. Meanwhile, Watt will take on the role of strategic advisor to guide founder Rahi Daneshmand on how to position the business globally.
Confirming the new investment, Daneshmand said: "We are really excited to partner with Eberechi Eze and James Watt to build the leading clean energy drink brand globally. Their belief in our vision and commitment to our growth emphasises the positive impact we plan to achieve together.
“As the first all-natural energy drink with zero sugar and zero calories, Virtue is well positioned to lead the way for clean energy. These partnerships mark the start of an exciting next chapter for Virtue, and we can’t wait for even more people to enjoy our clean energy drinks.”
Eze isn't the only football star who has taken an interest in the Virtue Drinks brand. Former Manchester United and Fulham man Chris Smalling is already involved among 'a small group of strategic angel investors'. The 34-year-old defender is still playing football and is now at Saudi side Al-Fayha.

It was reported in 2021 that Smalling had invested a six-figure investment into the company. Speaking at the time, the footballer said: “Virtue has shaken up the industry and made a brilliant product that changes the game. I’m excited to be part of the journey. Why would you drink unhealthy energy drinks when Virtue exists?”
Eberechi Eze net worth
Crystal Palace man Eze is no stranger to multi-million-pound deals. The player arrived at Selhurst Park from QPR in 2020 for a reported £17 million.
This summer, the player was linked with a move away from Selhurst Park after a sparkling 2023/24 campaign. The BBC reported in April that Crystal Palace had put a £60 million price tag on Eze.
According to SalarySport, Eze has a net worth of £9.6 million himself.
