and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
Crystal Palace have endured a dire start to the season that has left them inside the bottom three heading into the last international break of 2024. The Eagles have won just one of their 11 games, picking up only seven points so far and leaving Oliver Glasner fighting to keep his job.
Improvements are needed and quickly at Selhurst Park, with Palace going into the break on the back of a defeat to local rivals Fulham. Injuries haven’t helped, though, and here we round up the latest on the injury front heading into the break. Just keep in mind that outside of injuries, Rob Holding has been excluded from first team plans for off-the-field issues, while Daichi Kamada is suspended.

It looks as though Franca will be out until the new year as he continues to struggle with a groin injury. Glasner has previously said: “He is too far away. I don’t think that he will play many games or even one game in for us. We expected Franca to be back within two to three months and he’s still out.”
Possible return date: January
Chadi Riad
Riad was ruled out until after this international break, but the latest on his knee injury suggests he may be out until early December.
Possible return date: December 7 vs Manchester City
Adam Wharton
Wharton required small surgery on his groin injury and he will be out until the end of the month with Glasner saying at the start of the month: “He tried [to train] today, but there’s too much pain. He’s really struggled the last weeks and months, and so now we took the decision he will have surgery, and we hope to have him back after, let’s say, four weeks.”
Possible return date: November 30 vs Newcastle United
Eberechi Eze
Eze is on a similar timeline, with Glasner saying: “He has a hamstring injury, and we will miss him for at least against Wolves and against Fulham. Then we have the break, and then let's see. There is hope [he will return after that], but it will be very ambitious.”

Nketiah picked up a thigh injury and there is no clear return date at this stage. Glasner said last week: “He felt it during the game, something in his hamstring, but he was fighting for the team until almost the end. Now he has problems, and let’s see how long it will take.”
