Crystal Palace could see Delgado as a potential future addition as they look to bolster their youth ranks. He currently plays in the third division of American soccer and made his debut at the age of just 15.
Real Monarchs are the reserve team of MLS outfit Real Salt Lake but they could lose their bright young ‘keeper to England if Palace decide to offer him a deal after his trial spell. The Eagles are keeping one eye on the future and have handed attacker Zach Marsh his first professional contract this week.
Patrick Viera’s number one at the moment is Vicente Guita, but at the age of 35 they may start looking at more longer term options now. Jack Butland and Sam Johnstone provide competition and back-up to that department, whilst the club also have Remi Matthews (out on loan at St Johnstone), Owen Goodman, Joseph Whitworth and Jackson Izquierdo on their books too.
