Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira is hoping to have left Tyrick Mitchell back from injury for the game against Liverpool in the Premier League weekend.

The left-back was withdrawn late against Brentford with what looked like ankle injury- but the damage looks to be minimal with the left-back expected to be back in time for the Liverpool game.

LondonWorld.com understands that the left-back had a scan and the damage was minimal, raising hopes that he is set to be back for this weekend’s top clash against a wounded Liverpool side at Selhurst.

The news is a massive lift to the technical team with no natural cover for Mitchell at left back- but Jeffrey Schlupp, often used as a midfielder, would have been shifted there and Eze likely to have profited from Schlupp’s absence.

Crystal Palace are desperate for all three points as they are without a win in the league this year with their last victory coming against Bournemouth.

Liverpool will also be looking for a quick response after they were battered 5-2 at Anfield by Real Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Jurgen Klopp’s side still have a chance of finishing in a Champions League spot but they will need to get a run going having won their last two league games before the midweek loss to Madrid.

They have their own injury issues with Joe Gomez and Ibrahima Konate all fighting to be ready for the trip to Selhurst this weekend.
