Liverpool man linked

Crystal Palace are being linked with a summer swoop for Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita. The Liverpool Echo claim his uncertain contract situation has ‘alerted the attention’ of the London club along with Inter Milan, Barcelona and Galatasaray. The 28-year-old, who is a Guinea international with 52 caps under his belt, has been with his current club since joining them in 2018 from Red Bull Salzburg but sees his deal expire at the end of June.

Striker wanted

The Eagles are ‘ready to pounce’ on Middlesbrough striker Chuba Akpom if his side aren’t promoted from the Championship, as per talkSPORT. Everton and Leeds United have also been credited with an interest in the former Arsenal man but their chances of landing will depend on whether they can stay up or not. The 27-year-old has been on fire for Boro in this campaign and has fired 29 goals in all competitions to date as Michael Carrick’s men look to go up via the play-offs.

Midfielder eyed

Crystal Palace reportedly want to land Flamengo midfielder Matheus Franca and the Daily Mail suggest the club had a ‘delegation in Brazil’ last week to discuss a potential move for him. The 19-year-old is a bright young talent and is also said to have attracted the attention of Real Madrid, Newcastle United and Liverpool recently. He could be seen as a possible long-term option in the middle of the park but there appears to competition.
