Crystal Palace have made a £200,000-a-week wage offer to Wilfried Zaha and are willing to hand him a four-year deal that beats the £9 million offer he has from Saudi Arabia side Al-Ittihad.

Zaha will turn 31 this November and has been linked with the likes of Bayern Munich, AS Roma, and Tottenham, but he is now likely to stay at Palace who are determined to keep him at the club.

The fact that Crystal Palace is willing to offer a 30-year-old a four year is an incredible show of determination and will from the board who value the Zaha as the club’s all-time greatest.

There are reports that despite the intention to keep Zaha, Palace are also still interested in Watford’s Ismaila Sarr as a potential replacement if they fail in their attempt to keep the Ivory Coast international.

The Eagles have almost secured their Premier League status for another season, and are planning for the next manager but strengthening the squad and keeping Zaha is key to the board.

According to sources close to Zaha, the Ivory Coast international wants to see some ambition from the club beyond the money being offered and the least he wants is an attempt to challenge for Europe just like rivals Brighton and Brentford have done this season.

The club’s choice of who will be the next manager will also play a major role in if Zaha decides to stay after Roy Hodgson replaced Patrick Vieira and picked up 10 points from four matches and still without a defeat.
