What was supposed to be a challenging campaign turned out to be one that has promised to be the foundation of a very exciting project in South London.
The 1-0 win against Manchester United wrapped up a season that travelled to Wembley and recorded the most clean sheets at Selhurst since 1992.
Palace players have grown and are now established internationals while club legend Wilfried Zaha posted his best goal scoring season with 14 goals.
During the season the new Academy training ground was opened and there is growing confidence that South London will be the hot bed for all talents across the City of London again.
This summer is a massive one with key players just running into their final season and the club risks losing them for free soon.
But as we think of the business of the summer, it is worth going back to look at how colourful Selhurst was in the first season and super Patrick Vieira.
