Crystal Palace returned to Premier League action with a disappointing defeat to London rivals Fulham on Boxing Day.

The Eagles saw Tyrick Mitchell and James Tomkins sent off and lost 3-0 to the Cottagers at home in what was a nightmare return to Premier League football. Thankfully, during the festive season, there is always another game around the corner and another opportunity to bounce back, and Palace will already be preparing to face Bournemouth on the South Coast on New Year’s Eve.

In the meantime, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding Selhurst Park:

Zaha latest

Patrick Vieira has not ruled out a Wilfried Zaha exit as the winger continues to get closer to the end of his contract, which expires at the end of this season.

“I think Wilfried knows the position of the club and the decision is going to be his – and when he is ready, we will listen to what he has to say,” said Vieira after the defeat to Fulham. But I think everybody knows we want him to stay at our football club, we want to grow with Wilfried as one of our leaders and the decision has to be his.”

Wan-Bissaka update

Palace have been dealt a blow in their reported bid to re-sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Manchester United. According to The Athletic, Wolves are set to back new boss Julen Lopetegui, and the Spaniard is said to be keen on landing the full-back, who should be available, as long as United can find a replacement. Palace may hold the edge, though, given their connection with Wan-Bissaka, and it should not be a question of fee, given the wing-back is likely to leave on loan.

It will be interesting to see how this particular transfer battle plays out in the coming weeks.
