Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira says his side deserved the thrashing they got at home to Fulham and refused to blame it on the two players being sent off during the game.
The Eagles boss then went on to describe it as one of the worst days of his life, after seeing his team get beat 3-0 without any fight or drive.

Tyrick Mitchell was shown a red card for a foul on Kenny Tete just three minutes after his side went behind, and James Tomkins followed him before the hour.
Vieira told Amazon Prime: “I don’t have any comments on Mitchell’s and I haven’t had the chance to look at the second one.
“I think we have to look at the bigger issues, which is the team’s performance and we were the second best for the best part of the game and that is what we have to be concerned about.”

“The fans showed their anger because they have seen that the team can play and we didn’t do that together so we have to respond.”
“There is no hiding, we have to respond and that is what we have to do.”

The two red cards were undoubtedly the moments on which this game turned. Mitchell’s challenge on Tete came just three minutes after Decordova-Reid’s opener, and Tomkins’ moment of madness forced them into damage control and now the pressure will be on the Eagles to get back to winning way in the South Coast.
