Crystal Palace are eyeing up a potential swoop for Blackburn Rovers ace Ben Brereton Diaz in the January transfer window. The Chile international has scored eight goals in the league so far this season.
The Sun have reported that the Eagles are ‘considering’ a move for him this winter as they look to bolster their options going forward ahead of the second-half of the campaign. The report suggests there is competition for his signature though, with Everton and Leeds United also said to be keen.

Brereton Diaz’s contract at Blackburn expires at the end of this term and he is currently due to become a free agent next summer. His current club risk losing him for nothing unless they can agree a new deal with him or they cash in on him in the next window.
He had spells as a youngster at Manchester United, Stoke City and Nottingham Forest before rocking up at Ewood Park in 2018. It initially took him a while to adapt to life with the Lancashire outfit but he is now become their most prized asset.

The forward fired 22 goals in all competitions last season but Rovers managed to keep hold of him over the summer. However, he continues to impress and has now reportedly emerged on Crystal Palace’s radar.
They are no strangers to landing talent from the Football League and could see Brereton Diaz as their next Ebe Eze or Michael Olise. Patrick Viera’s side beat Wolves 2-1 on Tuesday night.
