Crystal Palace and Brentford-linked striker Ross Stewart is reportedly on the radar of Stoke City ahead of the summer. The Scotland international is facing an uncertain future at current club Sunderland.

His contract with the Black Cats expires at the end of next season meaning they are not under any pressure to cash in on him just yet. However, he is yet to put pen-to-paper on an extension at the Stadium of Light and they will eventually risk losing him for free in June 2024 if nothing changes.

Sky Sports’ Keith Downie claimed in the January transfer window that London pair Crystal Palace and Brentford are interested in luring Stewart, who has 40 goals in his last 81 games, to the Premier League. The likes of Rangers, Middlesbrough and Blackburn Rovers were also mentioned as potential suitors.

Stoke City are now said to be keen and reporter Alan Nixon has now reported on his Patreon page that Stoke are plotting a ‘raid’ for the attacker. He played under the Potters’ boss Alex Neil at Sunderland.

Crystal Palace need reinforcements up top and Stewart is someone who has proved he can score goals at Championship level. Brentford could also do with some competition for Ivan Toney and may look to bring in someone in that position too in the near future.
