Crystal Palace midfielder Malachi Boateng is reportedly wanted back by Queen’s Park for next season. The youngster has spent this term on loan with the Scottish Championship league leaders and has been a hit under former Premier League boss Owen Coyle.

The Eagles gave the 20-year-old the green light to move up to Scotland on a temporary basis last August to help him get some experience under his belt. He has since impressed with the Glasgow side and has established himself as one of their key players in the middle of the park.

Crystal Palace are due to welcome him back to Selhurst Park at the end of this season. However, according to reporter Alan Nixon on his Patreon, he is ‘wanted’ back by his current club as they potentially prepare for life in the Scottish Premiership in the next campaign.

Boateng has made 33 appearances in all competitions since his switch to Ochilview Park and has chipped in with a single goal and two assists. His brother, Hiram, plays in League Two for Mansfield Town.

He has risen up through the ranks at Crystal Palace and has been a regular for the London club at various youth levels over recent years. The academy graduate is still waiting on his first senior appearance and the club will have a decision to make on his future this summer.
