Crystal Palace will have to see off plenty of competition from elsewhere if they are to sign in-demand Celtic winger Liel Abada this summer. The 21-year-old has been linked with a switch to Selhurst Park and is facing an uncertain future up in Glasgow.

Football Insider claimed earlier this month that the Eagles and fellow Premier League side Southampton are keen on luring the attacker down to England at the end of the season. His contract at Celtic Park still has three years left to run on it.

In this latest update by Sky Sports, Dutch giants Ajax have now joined the race to land his signature. Unnamed Portuguese clubs are also said to be in the frame.

Abada, who is an Israel international with nine caps under his belt so far, has been a hit since joining Celtic back in 2021 from Maccabi Petah Tikva. He has become a key player for Ange Postecoglou’s side and has fired 26 goals in 91 games in all competitions to date, 11 of which have come in this campaign.

Crystal Palace could see him as a decent long-term option for them. He has the potential to grow and develop in the future and has proven himself up in Scotland. However, the London outfit would need to see off other teams to get him.
