Crystal Palace are reportedly leading the race for Arne Slot. The Dutch manager is currently at Feyenoord and is being linked with a switch to Selhurst Park at the end of the season.

Roy Hodgson is currently in charge of the London club on a deal until the summer. The experienced boss has done an impressive job and his side have won all three of his games in charge so far against Leicester City, Leeds United and Southampton to climb away from the drop zone.

According to the Sunday People (via TBR), Crystal Palace have ‘spoken’ to the advisors of Slot as they explore the possibility of bringing him. However, there is expected to be competition for his signature.

The 44-year-old spent his playing days as a midfielder NAC Breda, Sparta Rotterdam and PEC Zwolle before hanging up his boots in 2013. He started his coaching career with the latter before moving to Cambuur as an assistant.

Slot landed the AZ Alkmaar job in 2019 and spent 17 months in charge at the AFAS Stadium before Feyenoord appointed him. He has since done an impressive job with the Dutch giants and guided them to the Europa Conference League final last year.

Crystal Palace are said to be interested in him now and a move to England could be on the horizon in the near future. The Eagles are back in action this weekend against Everton at home.
