Hide AdChelsea claimed a comfortable 2-0 win over Lille in their Champions League round of 16 first leg on Tuesday evening.
Goals from Kai Havertz and Christian Pulisic ensured the reigning champions put one foot in the quarter-finals.
And the first of those goals proved Tuchel right, with the German boss selecting his fellow countryman for the number nine role.

But the decision is not said to have pushed Lukaku into making any rash decisions, despite tension already existing over his future.
The Belgian arrived on a big-money deal only last summer, but he has already spoken of his frustration following his return, much due to the Blues’ style of play.

Hide AdAccording to the Mail Online, Lukaku is still relaxed about his future and he is not expected to make any rash decisions before the end of the season.
Tuchel explained after the game that the decision to rest Lukaku was down to fatigue, with the Belgian only managing seven touches of the ball against Crystal Palace over the weekend.
The report claims Lukaku felt he was fit enough to play, but he had to be content with a spot on the bench.

Hide AdTuchel is said to prefer his side with Havertz in that number nine role, but there are plenty of games remaining for Lukaku to reclaim his spot and to turn the season around.
The former Inter Milan striker has scored 10 and assisted two so far, making 28 appearances across all competitions.
And it seems we will see many more games with Lukaku in a Chelsea shirt before any sort of decision is made over his future.
