£97.5m striker rejects Tottenham transfer and trains with Chelsea under-21s ahead of move abroad

Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku is not interested in a move to Tottenham and is training with the club’s under-21 squad as he awaits a move to Italy.

Juventus are leading the race even though they will have to sell before they can buy the Belgian forward. Inter Milan have moved on from him after they found out that he was speaking to Juventus simultaneously to them.

Chelsea and Lukaku are all desperate to end the chapter that brought him back to English football two seasons ago and even Tottenham who are looking for a striker to replace Harry Kane have shown interest, the striker is said to be only interested in a move back to Italy.

Clubs in Saudi Arabia have also been linked but the former Manchester United forward has made it clear that he doesn't want a move to the Arabian country and prefers to stay in Europe.

Chelsea manager Pochettino confirmed to LondonWorld they were looking for the best solution when asked about the current situation of the striker: “You cannot put it only on the club, the situation. It’s both sides. The situation is where it is because of two sides.

“It’s like when you have a player in or a player out. It’s because both sides arrive to an agreement but we are working on it.

“The situation is how it is, we cannot change,” Pochettino added.

“We (Pochettino and his team) were informed before we signed, the situation on every single player, and after we signed we had the squad we had. I think it is so clear, nothing changed. If there’s something to inform, the club will inform.”

The situation of Lukaku has been highlighted following Chelsea's 2-1 defeat to West Ham over the weekend with the club looking for another striker. Christopher Nkunku is essentially out for the year while Armando Broja is only now looking to return to team training.
