Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino will be able to field his captain Reece James after the international when his team face the test of Arsenal in the Premier League.

James hasn’t played since the opening days of the season due to a hamstring injury he picked up in the game against Liverpool and then followed that up witha one match suspension after he used umprintable words on the referee in his side’s defeat to Aston Villa.

In his absence, Chelsea have gone through some diffiuclt meoments with his deputy Malo Gusto sent off in that game against Aston Villa and with Marc Cucurella drafted in to plug the hole.

There is further good news also after the international break with Benoit Badiashile and Carney Chukwuemeka all expected to be ready to go after the international break.

Chelsea have now won all their last three games in all competitions and will feel the international break came at the wrong time with key players just beginning to take form and results picking up.

The challenge though will be how they compete against the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, Newcastle and Brighton when Premier League football resumes after the break.

Raheem Sterling though will likely return for the game against Arsenal fresh after being left out of the England team. He responded with an impressive display at Burnley to help his club to a much needed win and revelaed he had nothing to prove to anyone and was just doing his job.

He said after the win: “I wouldn’t say I had something to prove. I took the strike and I’m happy to score. We’re just building, that’s all we can do. Just keep building and keep working on the training field to replicate that in matches.”
