Former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has shown interest in Kepa Arrizabalaga with just days to the start league season.

Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga is reportedly open to leaving the club with interest from Bayern Munich just days to the start of the Premier League season.

Coincidely former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel who dropped Kepa for Edouard Mendy during their Champions League winning campaign together is the man driving the interest according to the Evening Standard with Tuchel willing to meet his wages.

Italian side Inter Milan signed Bayern’s assistant goalkeeper Yann Sommer, who deputised for Manuel Neuer last season after the veteran German shot-stopper injured his leg while out skiing with his friends last year, missing large parts of the season due to the injury.

Spain international Kepa Arrizabalaga is Chelsea’s undisputed number one at the moment even though there is now competition again with the signing of Robert Sanchez from Brighton last week.

Kepa has shown formidable character to recover from the horror of poor form under Frank Lampard that led to the signing of Edouard Mendy in the first place. He’s earned credit as one of the top-performing Chelsea players last season albeit it was a season to forget for most Chelsea players.

Chelsea have shipped out almost 18 players including 13 first-team players in their journey to rebuild the team after finishing 12th in the Premier League, the first time in almost three decades that they finish that low.

Bayern are also interested in signing Tottenham’s Harry Kane and are preparing their latest bid having seen their last offer in the region of £85million knocked down.
