Crystal Palace are looking to sign Chelsea youngster Lewis Hall in the coming days with manager Roy Hodgson looking to add the youngster to his squad having lost a number of key players.

Hall can play in midfield and as a left-back and was one of the outstanding players during Frank Lampard's short stay last season. He has surprisingly been overlooked like new manager Mauricio Pochettino who only introduced him late on in the game against Dortmund.

Crystal Palace left mack Tyrick Mitchell is out injured and might miss the start of the season against Sheffield United so signing the Chelsea youngster could hand the Eagles manager an interesting option.

South London Press say Roy Hodgson has been keen to add to his squad after he lost star man Wilfried Zaha to Galatasay. The Eagles have a good relationship with Chelsea having signed the likes of Conor Gallager, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Patrick Bamford, Loic Remy and Michy Batshuayi.

Last season Hall was named Chelsea’s Academy Player of the Season having played 12 times for the first team. The Eagles have also signed Brazilian wonder kid Matheus Franca and Bournemouth star Jefferson Lerma ahead of the season.

Roy Hodgson’s side recovered from a difficult first half of the season under Patrick Vieira to finish the season impressively in 12th even though fans are now hoping that they can kick on and at least try and fight for a spot in the top 10 of the Premier League table. The Eagles have been in the Premier League since they gained promotion to the league in 2013.
