Midfielder N’Golo Kante is in the final stage of his reported move to Saudi Arabia while Jorginho left the club to rivals Arsenal last January and a move for Kovacic will bring an end to the starting midfield that won the Champions League under Thomas Tuchel just two seasons ago. It remains to be seen if the £25 million will be enough to seal the deal.
