The Blues have only won twice against the Hammers  at their new stadium but will need three points if they are to keep their hopes of finishing in a Champions League spot alive.

They are currently ninth on the league table and 10 points behind Newcastle United who occupy fourth place on the Premier League table.

The Chelsea boss also confirmed Mateo Kovacic and Denis Zakaria would not be ready for this one.

Graham Potter told reporters ahead of the visit to West Ham: “They are getting closer and closer.

“Wesley has been training with the team, Denis has been training with the team. We’ve had a little setback with Raheem, he is doubtful.

“He got a kick in training. Mateo is training with the team but it’ll be too soon for him.”

Despite the setback to Sterling Chelsea will be able to call on Joaa Felix after he served the last of his three match ban for his straight red against Fulham.

The likes of Mykhailo Mudryk and Enzo Ferenandez will also continue their adaptation to life as a Chelsea player and hoping for more minutes in the game.
