In his absence, Chelsea have suffered defeats to Leeds and Southampton in the Premier League, he also comes back to meet Graham Potter who has been brought in from Brighton and Hove Albion to replace Thomas Tuchel who was fired earlier in the season.

Kante is considered one of the best midfielders in the world but in the last few seasons he’s struggled to keep his fitness at crucial stages when the team need him.

The French midfielder has taken advantage of the international break to step up his recovery and will now join goalkeeper Edouard Mendy who has also returned to training after missing the last two games due to a knew injury.

Graham Potter, so successful at Brighton, will take charge of his first Premier League as Chelsea manager this weekend after seeing games against Fulham and Liverpool postponed.

He has now had time to work with the players than he would had if the game against Fulham had not be postponed. He has spent the international break at Cobham and even played a friendly game against his former side Brighton which his team won.

This is the beginning of a very important period for Chelsea who will welcome AC Milan to Stamford Bridge for their third Champions League of the campaign next week.
