Chelsea boss Graham Potter is beginningato see the fog lift fter his team continued their mini-revival in another win in the Premier League.

The Blues have now won against Leeds United, Dortmund and Leicester City, the first time since last October last year and all of the sudden the picture is beginning to change for the English manager who was on the brink of being sacked.

Against Leicester, it was Ben Chilwell scoring a beautiful volley, before midweek hero Kai Havertz and midfielder Mateo Kovacic ensured Patson Daka strike was just a consolation goal troubled Foxes.

The win against Brendan Rodgers’ team coincidentally ended their worst away run since the 2001-2002 season, prior to today- they had not won any of their last 10 away games in the league.

The pressure valves are now really beginning to loosen for Potter and he admits it’s been a good week even though his main focus has always been to keep the team focused and working towards improving results.

The Chelsea boss said after the Leicester win: “It’s been a really good week. Three good wins.

“To back it up today is really good from the players because it’s not easy. I’m delighted for the fans, they were fantastic.”

Despite the first back-to-back league league wins of the year, Chelsea still remain 10th on the league table, but have closed the gap on ninth place Brenford to just one point ahead of next weekend’s home game against Everton.

They will then take on Aston Villa before hosting Liverpool for what is expected to be one of the games of the season at Stamford Bridge.
