Destiny Udogie fitness update as Tottenham look for enormous boost ahead of Chelsea test on Monday

Tottenham hoping to have Destiny Udogie for their game against Chelsea next week night.

Tottenham defender Destiny Udogie missed the game against Crystal Palace on Friday night but could return for their game against Chelsea on Monday night having returned to Hotspur Way today.

The Italy left back has been sensational for Ange Postecoglou and his return could make a the difference when the two rivals take to the pitch next week.

Tottenham have been sensational this season with Udogie being one of the star players so far, helping them to the summit of the league table.

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou spoke about his injury prior to the game an after, refsuing to totally rule him out for a long period.

“Destiny had a problem and it was nothing serious but we had to leave him out for tonight,” Tottenham manager Postecoglou said.

“Destiny we are still going to assess. Obviously it is a short turnaround from the other night.

“We’ll have a look today, see how things go and make a decision after that. Everyone else has come through fine and is available.”

Spurs have made their best start to a top-flight campaign winning eight of their first 10 games and only drawing two going into the game against Chelsea.

The Lilywhites have also been boosted with the news that Brennan Johnson impressed against Palace, setting up the eventual winner for the club.

There is feeling that the game against Chelsea will be the real test of their title credential having raised to the top of the league table.
