All the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Chelsea as they turn attention to a Premier League rematch with Brighton.

Chelsea will now begin to look forward to a rematch with Saturday night’s FA Cup opponents Brighton, facing the Seagulls in a rematch of sorts on Friday night. The Blues are currently inside the top four, and they are going to have to remain consistent to remain there.

Enzo Maresca didn’t get the attacking reinforcement he had hoped for, but he still has enough quality in his squad to get the job done. In the meantime, we have rounded up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Stamford Bridge.

Semenyo interest

Chelsea are said to be interested in AFC Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo ahead of the summer. According to Fichajes, the Blues like the look of the Cherries forward and are particularly impressed by his versatility.

It’s claimed Chelsea are willing to offer as much as £42million to get the deal done, with the 25-year-old under contract until 2029. Bournemouth signed Semenyo for around £8million back in 2023, but he has improved significantly since, scoring eight and assisting four times across all competitions this season.

Diomande ‘contact’

Elsewhere, it’s reported by TeamTalk that the Blues are still interested in Sporting CP defender Ousmane Diomande, who was linked with a number of clubs during the winter window. The dominant centre-back has a release clause worth £66.6m for the summer, but it’s reported Chelsea are confident they can agree a fee below that.

The Blues are already said to have made contact to inform Sporting of their interest, and while the Portuguese giants were not willing to sell in January, they may be willing to in the summer, though the big interest in Viktor Gyokeres could complicate things.

Chelsea wanted City starlet

Chelsea did indeed try to sign Manchester City starlet Nico O’Reilly in a bid to repeat their Cole Palmer trick, according to David Ornstein, with the Blues attempting to make inroads in January.

“I was going to mention City’s best signing of the window, well not a signing but a retention, Nico O’Reilly who has got top potential,” Ornstein told The Athletic. “Chelsea tried to sign him and do a Cole Palmer mark two, but City managed to keep hold of him, and you’ll remember this when he comes good.”
