Chelsea will look to bounce back straight away after the defeat to Manchester City in the Premier League.

The European Champions looked really flat at the weekend, and will look to recover that winning feeling in Turin for their Champions League encounter against Juventus.

Massimiliano Allegri’s side are recovering from their worst start to a Serie A season in 60 years, but they have now won four of their last five games.

They also comfortably won their Group H opener against Malmo, and will stand a chance of topping the group if they win against Chelsea on Wednesday.

Chelsea 1-0 Juventus Champions League February 2009

Didier Drogba scored the only goal of this encounter, and it’s the only time Chelsea have beaten Juventus.

Solomon Kalou slid in his fellow Ivory Coast international and the lethal Drogba finished off to give Chelsea a slender advantage going into the second leg of the  round-of-16 game in Turin.

Claudio Ranieri was the coach of Juventus while Guus Hiddink was the manager at Chelsea.

Chelsea defied all odds and went to Turin to get a result that would take them through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Vincenzo Iaquinta and Alessandro del Piero scored for Juventus but Michael Essien and Didier Drogba responded for Chelsea and eventually sealed a 2-3 aggregate win that would take the Blues through to the next round of the competition.

This was Chelsea’s new Brazilian midfielder Oscar’s full debut for the club, and he scored a quick brace for the Blues who were European Champions at that time.

The second on the night was a long range shot that would be nominated for goal of the season.

Arturo Vidal’s goal put The Old Lady  back in contention before half-time and substitute Fabio Quagliarella ensured the points were shared with an equaliser nine minutes from time.

Fabio Quagliarella, Arturo Vidal  and Sebastian Giovinco gave Juventus a deserved 3-0 victory and this was the last time Chelsea played Juventus.

This was also one of the games which cranked up the pressure on Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo who had gone four Premier League games without a win ahead of this encounter.
