Chelsea star Ben Chilwell was one of many well-known faces spotted taking in the action at Wimbledon over the weekend, and the full-back got up close and personal with BRIT Award winner Lewis Capaldi at the Championships.

It was a weekend to remember at the famous British Open as Marketa Vondrousova became the first unseeded player to win a Wimbledon single's title as she beat Ons Jabeury in the women's final. More history was then in the making on Saturday when Carlos Alcaraz ended a 10-year Novak Djokovic reign on Centre Cout in the men's event.

Chilwell had taken time away from pre-season preparations to enjoy the tennis action earlier in the week and was back at the Lawn Tennis Club on Saturday as the women's final brought crowds to the event.

The Chelsea man attended the event as part of a deal with water brand Evian and shared a series of snaps to his social media account as he cut a relaxed figure in a low-key white t-shirt.

In one image shared to his story, Chilwell and his mate bumped into singer/songwriter Lewis Capaldi as they spent time at the tournament.

Capaldi, who recently opened up about his battle with Tourette's and cancelled upcoming shows after his Glastonbury set this year, was making his first public appearance since then at Wimbledon. The 'Someone You Loved' singer took in the action on centre court alongside Harry Potter actress Emma Watson.

Capaldi is a Celtic fan but spent time with Chilwell and his pal, even giving the Chelsea star's friend a snog on the cheek as they hung out between watching matches.

The Royal Box and posh seats were some of the hottest tickets in town over the weekend, with Chilwell and Capaldi not the only celebrities spotted at Wimbledon.

The Prince and Princess of Wales were joined by Princess Charlotte and Prince George on Sunday while King Felipe VI of Spain was also in attendance.

Daniel Craig, Ariana Grande, Andrew Garfield, Tom Hiddleston, Brad Pitt, Idris Elba and Hugh Jackman were also spotted at the prestigious event.
