Chelsea showing 'interest' in new midfield target as Tottenham Hotspur prepare to cash in on £63m flop
Chelsea are in the hunt for a new manager after parting company with Mauricio Pochettino last week. They have a big decision to make on who to bring in as their next boss.
The Blues finished sixth in the Premier League table in this last campaign. However, the club’s hierarchy have decided to make a change in the dugout.

Both teams have the chance to bolster their ranks with some signings this summer. With that in mind, here is a look at some of the latest news and rumours regarding the pair...
Chelsea eye midfielder
Despite their ongoing search for Pochettino’s replacement, Chelsea will still be eyeing potential recruits ahead of the upcoming transfer window. According to a report by the Daily Mail, they are showing ‘interest’ in Stoke City midfielder Sol Sidibe along with AS Monaco and AS Milan.
The 17-year-old, who is an England youth international, is being tipped for a bright future in the game and could be seen by the Blues as someone who is capable of breaking into their first-team down the line.

Stoke finished just above the drop zone last term under Steven Schumacher and won’t want to lose Sidibe anytime soon. It would be hard to stand in the way if a bigger club came in for him though.
Tottenham Hotspur look to sell 2019 signing
Spurs are keen to cut ties with Tanguy Ndombele when he returns from his loan spell at Galatasaray. Football Insider claim they will ‘look to sell’ the 27-year-old on a permanent basis, despite the fact he still has another year left on his contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The Frenchman moved over to England back in 2019 for a club record £63m after catching the eye in Ligue 1 playing for Lyon but he hasn’t been able to make the impact he would have hoped.

Cutting ties with him would be a shrewd move by Spurs. It would free up space and funds in their ranks to bring in other reinforcements who suit Postecoglou’s style of play more.
Galatasasay were given the green light to land him last September and he has since helped them win the Turkish Super Lig title ahead of their rivals Fenerbahce following their 3-1 away win at Konyaspor over the weekend.
