'I'm comfortable': Ange Postecoglou hints Champions League winner could stay at Tottenham in massive boost
Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou says he’s comfortable with any outcome as discussions between Tottenham and RB Leipzig regarding the purchase of forward Timo Werner continue. The 2021 Champions League winner with Chelsea scored two goals in 13 appearances for the Lilywhites after joining on loan from Leipzig in January.
His deal to north London was with an option to buy and his performances have been good enough without necessarily being spectacular. Asked what the situation was regarding the future of the German forward, Tottenham boss Postecoglou revealed there was a deadline to get it done but a lot of that was down to the two clubs and what the player wanted.

"Again, from my perspective, I'm comfortable with that situation and I'll let the other guys steer it to see what kind of outcome there is."
Tottenham finished fifth in the league table and secured Europa League football in Postecoglou’s first year at the club. They made a brilliant start to the campaign winning eight of their first 10 league games but injuries, suspensions and a general drop in form meant they were left to settle for a place just outside the top four of the league table.
The former Celtic manager has since vowed to rebuild the foundations at the club which he described as 'fragile' after the 2-0 defeat to Manchester City in the penultimate game of the season.
