Chelsea’s new owner Todd Boehly has been heavily criticised following Thomas Tuchel’s surprise sacking this morning.
The Blues had endured an underwhelming start to the new Premier League season and were beaten by both Southampton and Leeds United, however it as expected Tuchel would be given time to improve their form after being backed by Boehly throughout the transfer window.

Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy has lashed out at Boehly for Tuchel’s sacking, claiming he ‘doesn’t know football’.
While speaking on takSPORT this morning, Murphy said: Boehly gave Tuchel Aubameyang on the last day because he’s worked with him, he backed him and he wanted that man, so the owner said to him, ‘you can have Aubameyang’.
“I dont think when he made that decision before deadline day that he was thinking he was going to be getting rid of the manager.

“I’m not sure we’d be having this conversation now if they won 4-0, that’s my belief. I think sometimes a bad result, especially with someone who doesn’t understand football, can be sensationalised in their head and think, ‘My God, we’ve got a problem if we’re losing games like that’.”
It has been reported that Chelsea were already set to sack Tuchel before their defeat in Croatia, despite Boehly willingly reuniting the 49-year-old with his former Borussia Dortmund striker, Aubameyang.
The London club had also brought in the likes of Wesley Fofana, Marc Cucurella and Raheem Sterling over the summer before sending Tuchel packing.
Chelsea have now been linked with the likes of Graham Potter, Zinedine Zidane and Mauricio Pochettino to become their sixth manager in ten years.
