Chelsea return to the action this evening against Dynamo Zagreb away.

The Blues will be looking to begin their new Champions League with a win in Croatia.

They go into the clash on the back of their 2-1 victory over West Ham United last weekend.

Here is a look at the latest news and rumours coming out of the club today...

Chelsea keen to extend star’s stay

Chelsea are keen to extend Mason Mount’s contract at Stamford Bridge.

He has been a key player over the past few years, scoring 30 goals in 166 games in all competitions.

The Evening Standard report that the Blues have began to ‘open’ talks with the England international over a new deal.

Boost in pursuit of midfielder

Thomas Tuchel’s side have received a boost in their pursuit of Dynamo Moscow ace Arsen Zakharyan.

The midfielder, who is 19-years-old, is already a Russia international and has scored 13 goals in 51 games in all competitions.

According to reporter Hrach Khachatryan, he has a ‘verbal agreement’ over a potential winter switch to Stamford Bridge and rumours linking him to Barcelona are false.

Diego Costa latest

Wolves are trying to lure former Chelsea striker Diego Costa back to England.

The Brazilian attacker is a free agent following his departure from Atlético Mineiro earlier this summer.

However, his proposed move to Molinuex is now in ‘doubt’ due to issues over his work permit, according to a report by The Athletic, although the Midlands outfit are appealing this.
