Chelsea winger Harvey Vale has returned to the club following his loan spell at Hull City. The youngster has seen his time in East Yorkshire cut shirt.

He was given the green light to join the Tigers on loan on the final day of the summer transfer window. However, he has struggled to break into their side and has now gone back to Stamford Bridge.

The England youth international has taken to Instagram to announce that he is leaving Liam Rosenior’s side (see below). Reporter Nizaar Kinsella has also confirmed the news.

Vale, 19, made just three appearances for Hull in all competitions, two of which came in the league. He penned a three-year deal with Chelsea before he left for the MKM Stadium and is highly-rated by the Blues after winning their Academy Player of the Year last year.

Having already played for their U21s this term, he is unable to join another club on loan for the rest of the campaign. That means he will link back up with the development squad until the summer.

Chelsea have a host of top quality options in his position and have recently brought in Mykhailo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk which makes Vale’s chances of getting game time even tougher under Graham Potter.

Elsewhere, the Blues have recalled goalkeeper Lucas Bergström from his spell at Peterborough United. He played 28 times for the Posh.
