Chelsea are closing in on the signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to CBS Sports.

The Blues are said to have agreed a deal worth less than £15million, and it’s expected the transfer will go through before the deadline. Left-back Marcos Alonso looks set to be part of the a player plus cash deal.

It’s an important signing for Chelsea. who have lost the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner this summer, significantly weakening their front line.

New contracts

The Blues are said to be working on two contract extensions.

According to The Athletic, Chelsea are hoping to tie down two key men to new contracts, with Mason Mount and Reece James set for new terms.

Both players have become an integral part of Thomas Tuchel’s plans, and the Blues are not taking any chances over their respective futures.

Sterling departure

Chelsea starlet Dujon Sterling is set to leave the club ahead of the deadline.

According to Football.London, Sterling is having a medical at Stoke City ahead of departing Stamford Bridge.

But the deal will only be a temporary one, with Sterling making the move to the Bet365 Stadium on a season-long loan.

The 22-year-old only has one senior Premier League appearance for Chelsea, and he has already completing three loan spells.
