Chelsea and Man Utd hatch cunning plans for 'special' £60m talisman
Chelsea and Manchester United could hatch cunning transfer plans to test Brentford resolve when it comes to the price of star man Ivan Toney this summer.
The England international appeared set to leave the Gtech Community Stadium during the window with a long list of Premier League clubs interested in his services. An initial £100 million fee had been touted but Profit and Sustainability Pressures, along with no league goals since February, has seen transfer talk cool.

Hide AdAs it stands, Toney is set to continue as a Brentford player next season as he hurtles towards the end of his contract in 12 months. The talisman could then exit as a free agent at the end of the upcoming campaign.
The report adds that the Blues and Red Devils haven't written off hopes of luring Toney away from Brentford but could plan to do so with more challenging offers. Those could include loans with obligations to buy fielded in the final weeks of the window.
