Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi is set for an exit from the club after falling down pecking order at Stamford Bridge.

The winger is in the squad for the final pre-season game against Udinese this weekend, but his future is far from settled in the final weeks of the transfer window.

LondonWorld understands that he has barely been as influential in training and the coaching staff have given little away with regards to his role in the coming season.

His weight has been another issue which is raising eyebrows at Cobham, even though there is feeling that he can knock it down in a week.

The arrival of Raheem Sterling, with whom he has been linking well with, was seen as the kick he needed, but the Chelsea squad is in need of a reboot and the England international’s role is diminishing with every week.

The 21-year-old was injured for the last part of last season, but came back early for preseason in a bid to boost his fitness.

But it’s increasingly looking like he will have to move elsewhere for playing time.

Newcastle United have been monitoring his situation, and are said to be willing to at least match his hefty salary and give him more game time.

The Magpies however will only look to turn up the heat on their pursuit of the winger if they sell Allan Saint-Maximin, who is reported to want a move away.

Chelsea’s final preseason game this weekend

The Blues have travelled to Italy where they will take on Udinese this weekend, in what will be the final pre-season game before the Premier League starts.

It’s been quite a frustrating summer, but there is a feeling that there will be some new faces that will come through before the transfer window closes with Wesley Fofana and Presnel Kimpembe.
