Leicester are sweating over the fitness of Jordan Ayew and Abdul Fatawu ahead of their game against Chelsea this weekend, with the Ghanaian duo now major doubts for the match.
Former Crystal Palace star Jordan Ayew played the full 90 minutes and scored a brilliant goal as his country were held to a 1-1 draw against Angola in Luanda. Ayew netted the only goal of the match in what was a tightly contested encounter.

A statement from the Ghana Football Association confirmed: “Although Ayew completed the game, MRI scans in Accra revealed significant issues with his knee. Issahaku was substituted in the first half due to his injury. Following consultations between Black Stars' medical head Dr. Prince Pambo and Leicester City's medical team, Ayew and Issahaku will rejoin their club on Sunday to begin rehabilitation.”
Chelsea are also dealing with injury concerns, with Cole Palmer having been forced to withdraw from England duty due to a suspected knock, while Romeo Lavia has also returned from international duty with Belgium.
The final international break of the year is always a tough period for clubs, with players having to travel across continents, leading to an increased risk of injury before their return. With the final stretch of games coming up, Maresca will be hoping for no further concerning news as he prepares his team for the match against Chelsea.
Chelsea are third in the Premier League table, while Leicester have only won two games, drawn four, and lost five, leaving them stuck on 15 points.
