Brentford are now 11 games unbeaten after their 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace this weekend. The Bees are a tough side to get results against and haven’t lost since returning from the World Cup break.

Boss Thomas Frank has heaped praise on Shandon Baptiste, Kevin Schade, Keane Lewis-Potter and Mikkel Damsgaard after their draw against the Eagles. The quartet are all not guaranteed starters but are providing useful depth and competition to the side and that showed against Patrick Viera’s side.

Palace looked like they were on their way to an impressive win at the Gtech Community Stadium after Eberechi Eze’s second-half goal. However, Brentford fought back and equalised through Vitaly Janelt at the end.

Frank has told the club website: “Shandon [Baptiste] got the fewest minutes but did well. I was pleased with Kevin [Schade]’s running and how he arrived in the box. Keane [Lewis-Potter] was positive and went at people.

“[Mikkel] Damsgaard was very positive as well. He’s been working very hard and he just needs to continue. He’s in a good place.”

He has said: “Here at the Gtech, it’s very, very difficult to beat us. Big praise to the fans, who pushed us forward towards the end. I’m so pleased that we got a well-deserved equaliser, and a well-deserved point. This group of players’ energy, spirit and mentality is remarkable. Remarkable.”

Brentford are 9th in the table after their point and are four points off Tottenham Hotspur in 5th place. The London club are back in action on 6th March with a game against fellow high flyers Fulham on 6th March.

They were due to face Manchester United at Old Trafford next weekend. However, that has been moved as the Red Devils have their Carabao Cup final against Newcastle United at Wembley next Sunday.
