Brentford halted their five-game losing streak with a 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace, and coach Thomas Frank will be hoping he gets some fresh legs in to help navigate the rest of the season.

The Premier League debutants have somewhat tailed off after a strong start, and are yet to win a league game this year.

Their form at the beginning of the season was so good it’s kept them above the relegation scrap, but manager Thomas Frank will know that with Newcastle’s new-found form, they are not yet out of the woods.

So with games against Arsenal, Newcastle and Norwich coming up, they will need to recover both players and form to stand the best chance of keeping their Premier League status intact at the end of the season.

So here are the potential return dates for their stars like Ivan Toney, including when Bees fans can see superstar signing Christian Eriksen in action.

Frank is hopeful that he could have him back by the end of the month if he does not suffer any kind of a set-back.

The Malian is yet to kick a ball in the Premier League this season, and spent last season out on loan at Turkish side Kasimpasa, so it will be interesting to see if he features much as the season continues.

Potential return: Norwich (A) March 5

Another player who is yet to see Premier League action, despite being such a key player during their Championship days.

He has battled with hamstring issues since the start of the season, and has lost his place in the team.

He might never play for the Brentford again, or at least this season, but is expected to return to first-team training next month and should be ready for a move elsewhere after seeing a deal to Swansea fall through in the summer.

A great servant of the club who was a fan favourite a couple of seasons ago.

Ivan Toney

Brentford have been without their top scorer Ivan Toney for the last two games as he battles with a calf injury.

He was however at the stadium to see the game against Crystal Palace, and medics are confident that he should be ready for the weekend’s visit to the Emirates.

Toney has six Premier League goals, and his overall play has been outstanding, with Frank desperate to have him back for what is the crucial part of the season for the Bees.

What a signing the Danish midfielder is for the club.

He might only be around for the second part of the season, but he is an example of what teams can get when they play in the Premier League.

Given his heart condition and the checks that have to be carried out before he can play again, the club have organised a behind closed door games that he will take part in this week.

What that means is that the game against Arsenal might come too soon for him, but the match against Newcastle could be his debut.

Potential return: Newcastle (H) February 26

Mathias Jorgensen

A Danish defender who has played in seven league games, and has wealth of experience from Holland, Germany and Turkey amongst others.

The good news is that he is responding to treatment, and it looks like he should be joining his teammates in training soon.

Manager Thomas Frank disclosed earlier that he was still in pain but was looking good.

He said: “Zanka is still in a little bit of pain but he is going in the right direction and should join the team soon.”

Potential return dates: Norwich (A) March 28
