Former Brentford winger Harry Forrester has retired from the game. The ex-England youth international has decided to call time on his playing career at the age of 32.

He has been playing his football abroad since 2018 but has now hung up his boots, as covered by the Daily Record, and will now focus on coaching. The attacker spent the 2022 season playing in America for Los Angeles Force.

Forrester started his career with spells at Northampton Town, Watford and Aston Villa as a youngster before Brentford swooped to sign him back in 2011 on a free transfer after he was released from Villa Park. He joined up with a Bees side who were in League One at the time.

The London club were managed by Uwe Rosler and he became a key player at Griffin Park. The Milton Keynes-born man made a total of 69 appearances in all competitions and chipped in with 11 goals.

However, his contract expired after two campaigns and he subsequently left for the Championship when Doncaster Rovers came calling. He spent two years in Yorkshire before having a couple of years up in Scotland with Rangers.

Forrester then left the UK and had a stint in East Azerbaijan with Tractor and Machine Sazi before heading over to America to join USL Championship outfit Orange County. He has now retired after his final spell at Los Angeles Force and the ex-Brentford man will be looking to make a name for himself in the coaching world over in the States.
